Camden, City, Islington & Westminster Bereavement Service (CCIWBS)

The service offers one-to-one bereavement counselling and is available to anyone over 18 either living within or registered with a GP in the boroughs of Camden, Islington and Westminster or who live, work or are registered with a GP within the City of London.

The one-to-one bereavement counselling takes place at the CCIWBS offices, or, occasionally, in people's own homes if they are unable to travel. There is no drop-in service.

Pre-Bereavement counselling

Counselling for clients who have a terminally ill friend/relative etc

Group Bereavement Counselling

Group counselling comprises of 10 weekly group sessions, these are closed groups lasting 2 hours. The focus is on psycho-education and experiential work.

Loss counselling

Loss of significant life role, job, relationship etc.

THE ABOVE SERVICES ARE CONCESSION SERVICES (contribution amounts are based on what clients can afford to pay)

People are seen by appointment only.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm. Evening appointments can be arranged where necessary.

There is wheelchair access.
